A simple video to begin with
Before proceeding with the written version of this tutorial, you can try the small video below. It's a different approach, but the result should be pretty similar. Once you are done, you can continue and learn more on the bottom of this page. :)
Step 1
Let's begin with the most important part of the human body: the head. First, draw a large oval shape. Make sure that the bottom of this shape is wider. Next, sketch a long rectangle to illustrate the body of the chef. Then, add another small rectangle to form the pants.
Step 2
The hat is made from small rectangle on the bottom and three circular shapes on top. The arms are represented by long and thin rectangles while the hands are made from circles. You can use curved lines to create the feet.
Step 3
Next, draw the eyes using circles. The ears are also made from circular shapes. Finally, you can add some hair on both sides of the head like shown in the illustration below.
Step 4
Once you are ready to proceed, you can draw a bow tie below the head. A straight line can also be added on the shirt of the cartoon character. Draw large pupils using circles and sketch the nose and mouth using curved lines.
Step 5
You can complete this fun drawing lesson by adding small oval shapes inside the eyes. A moustache can be drawn under the nose and small dots can be sketch on the shirt.
Step 6
Great work! The recipe to create a fun cartoon chef is quite easy to achieved. You can either try to draw this character once again or add colors to the current version if you want to.
Want to draw more cartoon chefs? You can start with this simple version featuring a chef with his arms wide open.
