App Spotlight: Airport Guide helps you find your way - hangersaisuatecous1950
Smart business travelers keep an armoury of apps at their fingertips to serve with any plac. Hence, HipMunk for engagement flights, Hotel Tonight for booking hotels, TripIt for keeping tabs on whol your travel reservations, and so on.
Here's 1 more to add to your travel brochure: Airport Guide – iFly (available for Humanoid and iOS). Faithful its name, the app provides data for over 700 airports worldwide—ideal for anyone who spends a lot of time schlepping through terminals.
Airport Guide's primary purpose is, well, an airport lead. Select any airport from the leaning to meet options like status (ground, passing, and/operating theater closure delays), a terminus map, a list of airlines that service that airport, parking info, run aground transportation options, drome amenities and food/parallel bars/shops, and even stop ideas.
In other words, there's a riches of useful airport-specific information here. And if you spit up $3.99 (via in-app purchase), you can get real-time flight position and trailing. (On that point's also a $6.99 Pro version that includes those options and dispenses with ads.)
From the main menu, Airport Guide also provides airline contact selective information, traveller help (in the form of information about security, checked bags, frequent-flier programs, etc.), and an overview of U.S. airport statuses. Basically, anything you need to know about air travel, you can find hither.
I give birth only when two real complaints with the app. First, the airport maps aren't terribly helpful, As they become fairly pixelated when you zoom and don't display things like restaurants or bathrooms—even when you select them via the Amenities list.
Indorsement, the app itself has all the seeable appeal of Windows 3.1. The interface looks dated and unappealing, and although it's perfectly functioning, it needs a refresh.
That aforementioned, information technology's hard to argue with a free app that equips travelers with so much useful information. Information technology may not be much to looking at, but Aerodrome Guide is definitely a handy addition to the business traveler's app arsenal.
